GUIDE TO PERIODS

Best news of the day – the Girl Guides are introducing an “End Period Poverty” badge, on the grounds that “if girls and women are made to feel ashamed of something as normal and necessary as a period, how can we ever achieve gender equality?”

The badge requires Guides to help girls who can’t afford tampons and sanitary protection.

I seem to remember being thrown out of the Guides. But I’d still love to have seen the look on our old Guide Leader’s face.
