WAYNE ROONEY can revive his career in the MLS, according to old England pal Ashley Cole.

Rooney’s Everton homecoming has not gone as well as hoped and they are ready to offload him.

Rooney, 32, is in Washington meeting DC United officials and LA Galaxy captain Cole believes the striker could be a success Stateside.

“We’re getting older when we leave, so he’s not going to be the 18-year-old Wayne Rooney,” said Cole.

“But he’s still got enough quality for this league. I’m excited if he does come to play against him again.”
