Warrington v Hull, 7.45pm

- BY TREVOR BAXTER

HULL wind-up merchant Jake Connor says his controversial approach is “all fun and games” as he eyes an England call-up.

Connor’s sparkling form at half-back has led to calls for him to face New Zealand in Denver next month, but even FC coach Lee Radford has admitted he may have to tone down his on-field antics.

Connor said: “I have tried calming down – it’s not always the way forward. Sometimes I just like to wind people up and get a reaction.

“There is nothing malicious in it, it’s all fun and games to me.

“It’s all part of the game and afterwards I shake hands and it’s over and done with.”

On his England prospects, Connor added: “It would be great and if I keep playing well for Hull, you never know.”
