BOBBY ROBSON announced he would be stepping down as England manager after the 1990 World Cup finals in Italy. An emotional Robson – who had just one year left on his Three Lions contract – revealed he would be taking charge of Dutch club PSV Eindhoven as he believed he would not be offered a new deal by the FA.
