Missing People offers a lifeline to the 250,000 people who run away and go missing each year in the UK. The group searches for missing people on behalf of the friends and family left behind and provides specialised support to ease their heartache and confusion.

The charity’s free, confidential helpline can be reached by dialling 116 000 and is available 24 hours a day. The Daily Mirror also carries a missing person appeal on the letters page each Friday.
