Silva lining at Everton

- BY DAVID MADDOCK

EVERTON are confident they will finally be able to unveil Marco Silva as their new boss this week.

A deal with the Portuguese coach is agreed in principle for him to replace Sam Allardyce.

Watford sacked Silva in January, after Everton had been rebuffed, and made an official complaint to the Premier League over an earlier illegal approach.

Blues owner Farhad Moshiri is understood to have agreed compensation with the Hornets now.

Silva, 40, will oversee a major shake-up at Everton with new director of football Marcel Brands.
