CLOCKING OFF
More workers at the collapsed construction firm Carillion are losing their jobs this week.
A further 29 staff who mostly worked in central functions have been made redundant to bring the total number of jobs lost at the company to 2,332.
More than 3,000 workers are still waiting to hear their fate but the Official Receiver said that 11,638 jobs, almost two-thirds of the pre-liquidation workforce, have been saved.
The Receiver said: “Discussions continue with potential purchasers for Carillion’s remaining contracts.”
