Help To Buy ‘aiding rich’
PEOPLE earning as much as £100,000 are being helped by a Tory scheme meant to get poorer families on the property ladder.
In London the average annual wage of Help to Buy claimants is now £72,000, nationally it is £55,000.
Loans enable buyers to put down a deposit of 5%.
Sam Dumitriu, of the Adam Smith Institute, called it “welfare for the upper middle classes.”
