TOTTENHAM midfielder Harry Winks has undergone successful surgery on his ankle and aims to be fit for the start of next season.

Winks, 22, was ruled out of England’s World Cup campaign after playing only three matches since the turn of the year.

But he posted a picture of his left ankle on his Instagram account on Tuesday and wrote: “Op went well [and] ready to push on for pre-season.”
