Lollygarchs OK

AFTER the Salisbury poisonings the PM denounced Vladimir Putin’s regime for its flagrant breach of international laws.

On the same day the Conservative party pocketed a £50,000 donation from the wife of a close ally of the Russian President.

Since 2010 the Tories have had £3million from Russian-linked oligarchs. We can’t say if Government decisions have been swayed to accommodate big financial backers.

However MPs recently accused ministers of dragging their feet when it came to acting on Russian money swilling around London.

Theresa May said it would no longer be “business as usual” with Russia.

Apparently when it comes to taking donations from Putin’s cronies it still is.
