MICK’S DREAM TICKET

- BY DAVE MITCHELL

TOP-CLASS action at Epsom dominates the column inches today.

But punters are a hard-nosed lot and that’s why we are waiting for Goodwood’s finale for our best bet rather than concentrating on proceedings in Surrey.

Mick Channon has booted in a goal or two in his time and he can score with WHY WE DREAM in tonight’s novice event.

On her seasonal debut at Newbury in April she was touched off by 50-1 Adjutant, who won again next time out.

She then put in a respectable effort at Lingfield when beaten by Jawwaal, who himself followed up at Kempton recently.

Why We Dream likes to race prominently, so she should get an ideal position just off the rail and her past experience can stand her in good stead.

It’s also interesting that she has a decent handicap mark, which Channon has chosen not to exploit yet.

We do have a runner in the Oaks in PERFECT CLARITY, who had a spin around the Epsom undulations on ‘Breakfast With The Stars’ morning.

She’s ideally bred for the job and her Lingfield win last time proved she’s going to get the trip around an undulating track that she’s sure to act on.
