CHELSEA MAY SOON HAVE ‘NO MANAGER, NO STADIUM AND NO STARS’

- BY JOHN CROSS

CHELSEA face a nightmare prospect of “no stadium, no manager, no star player”.

That is the grim warning from former chief executive Trevor Birch after Roman Abramovich put the club’s new 60,000-seater stadium on hold – and it could lead to Real Madrid buying Eden Hazard.

Owner Abramovich is clearly fed up after problems renewing his British visa.

Chelsea are also in limbo over manager Antonio Conte,

who has yet to be sacked, despite the Blues holding talks with ex-Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri.

Birch said: “There have been some rising costs in the stadium and it’s a difficult project to deliver.

“But I think this is clearly Roman upping the ante in the spat with the Home Office. If the visa issue isn’t resolved, I think anything could happen. There’s obviously a great deal of concern around.

“The Chelsea fans now face the prospect of no stadium, no manager and no star player if Eden Hazard moves to Real Madrid.”
