Monster fun, with climate warning bite

- CHRIS HUNNEYSETT

PREPARE yourself for prehistoric pandemonium in this stomping sequel to 2015’s monster blockbuster, with all the spectacular dino action you could hope for.

This latest adventure is set three years later as a very angry volcano blows its top.

Bryce Dallas Howard returns as Claire, the former Jurassic World park manager and now a dinosaur-rights activist, but this time with appropriate footwear. Alongside, Chris Pratt riffs on his wisecracking action-man persona familiar from Avengers: Infinity War.

After saving dinosaurs from the island inferno in a terrifically exciting sequence, we’re ushered to a secluded US mountain

mansion, where the movie becomes a suspenseful gothic horror nightmare.

We’re introduced to the Indoraptor, a smart and lethal hybrid dinosaur. But it’s not the only predator around, with greed bringing out the worst nature of humans.

The dinosaurs become a coded warning for man-made climate change, making it a fresh, funny bite of popcorn entertainment.
