A GAME-CHANGING PLOT...
With the theme park of Jurassic World still shut, it’s the dinos who are under threat for the first half of the film – as Owen and Claire try to evacuate them from Mount Sibo before its volcano erupts.
However, the second half sees the creatures under a different threat – as the action moves to a US mansion, where the dinosaurs are being auctioned off to the highest-bidding arms dealer.
The villains are Brits Toby Jones, who hosts the auction, and Rafe Spall’s Eli Mills, who gets Owen to save Blue so he can create a new killer dinosaur.
“The first half, you have a whole dinosaur movie on the island, movie,” says director JA Bayona. “But the second half feels more suspenseful, darker and even has this kind of gothic element.”
