The Jurassic Park franchise is one of the most successful of all time. The 1993 original made £770million worldwide – equivalent to around £1.5billion today. The 1997 sequel The Lost World made a still respectable £463million (About £828million adjusted) and 2001’s Jurassic Park III made £276million (about £441million). Jurassic World made a monster £1.2billion and industry insiders expect Fallen Kingdom to equal that. That’s a lot of money from one mosquito caught in a bit of amber.
