WORLD champion Marc Marquez will have a new teammate next year after Honda announced Dani Pedrosa would be leaving at the end of the season.

Pedrosa, 32, (below) whose career has been plagued by injury, has spent his Grand Prix career with the Japanese outfit since his 125cc debut in 2001.

The Spaniard, who was 125cc champion in 2003 and took 250cc crowns in 2004 and 2005, said: “I’ve grown not only as a rider, but as a person with Honda.”

He has won 31 Grands Prix in all, but is currently 12th.
