Christine’s ‘dark’ stalker warned he faces prison
Judge brands tweets culprit ‘delusional’
A STALKER who left Christine Lampard cowering behind the sofa at her £10million home as he lurked outside faces jail.
The warning from Judge Robin Johnson came after he ruled that Christof King was responsible for sending the pregnant Loose Women host chilling Twitter messages.
Deluded King, 39, believed he was destined to share his life with Christine, also 39, and became angered when she ignored him.
His two-year campaign of harassment between January 2015 and last September made Christine too terrified to leave home by herself.
Judge Johnson found he was behind a 2015 tweet that said: “I can hear screeching of the nails as I sharpen them for your crucifixion.”
Another stated: “I am planning the writing on your gravestone.”
Saying King sent the tweets because he grew frustrated, he added: “There is clear evidence that he [King] has delusional tendencies. I am satisfied that having been blocked and having felt frustrated by the repeated non-engagement with him by letter or tweet that he found the only way of engagement was by repeated visits to the house. “I don’t rule out a sentence of immediate imprisonment. “Those tweets are sinister and he is clearly someone who swings in mood, during the course of a letter for instance. “He has little insight into the consequence of his actions.” Isleworth crown court heard King was “utterly obsessed” with the former One Show host. Christine, married to former Chelsea star Frank, said his tweets were largely “incoherent waffle”. But they became dark and sinister and she called the police. He followed up with letters and called at the couple’s London mansion unannounced. King, of Kilburn, North London, admitted one charge of stalking. He will be sentenced next month after psychiatric assessment. Stalkers who cause serious alarm or distress can be jailed for five years.
