Ruth Jones revealed the secret of her Gavin & Stacey writing success with James Corden – sharing a room, plenty of food and lots of napping.
She said they met either at her place in Wales or his pad over a Chinese takeaway in Beaconsfield and, later, in posh hotels – but still just in one room.
On the upcoming John Bishop: In Conversation With... on W channel, Ruth says: “Food was very important. And we always liked to have a nap.”
They wrote the Peter and Dawn renewal of vows sequence after a binge on Easter eggs then a sleep. She says: “We were hysterical probably because we had had too much chocolate.”
