Women ‘need to sleep less’

TOO much sleep is just as bad for women’s health in the same way as not getting enough is for men, say researcher­s.

It can cause metabolic syndrome – conditions including high blood pressure, sugar and cholestero­l, which increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Dr Claire Kim, of Seoul’s University College of Medicine, said: “There’s a potential gender difference.”
