Fearless 23-storey climb for raccoon with a view

THIS raccoon made it to the top of the skyscraper yesterday after a climb that had people all over the world on the edge of their seats for 20 hours.

The raccoon was first spotted by workmen in Minnesota on Monday, when it began its ascent of the UBS Tower. By Tuesday afternoon it was trending on Twitter as local radio station MPR News gave regular updates.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn said he would donate $1,000 to help rescue the animal. But after making it 23 storeys to the top yesterday morning, the raccoon was trapped and released back into the wild.
