Threesome hubby jailed for attacking wife & lover
A HUSBAND who lived with his wife and mistress has been jailed for attacking both on the same day.
Shaun Walsh flew into a rage after he was accused of being in a bad mood.
He battered wife Sherin, 51, unconscious before slashing his lover Karren Grainger, 47, with a knife when she went to Sherin’s aid.
Walsh also urinated on both women, who are profoundly deaf and vulnerable, a court heard. Prosecutor Emma Harris said Walsh, 50, attacked Sherin in the bathroom of their home in Beaufort, South Wales, a village where they had lived as a threesome for 10 years.
She told Newport crown court: “He punched her in the nose, pulled her hair and pushed her against the wall.
“Walsh then shoved kitchen roll inside her mouth and she lost consciousness. He poured a bucket of water over her. She felt she was going to die.” Walsh left both women cowering in fear.
The handyman wept as he appeared via videolink from Swansea prison. He admitted ABH against his wife of 28 years and wounding Karren and was jailed for 27 months.
Judge Recorder Ifan Wyn Lloyd Jones told Walsh, who has a teenage daughter with his mistress: “Both complainants were deaf ladies and I have no doubt about their vulnerability.
“This was a determined attack and it must have been terrifying for them.”
The judge issued a restraining order banning Walsh from contacting the women, who want “nothing more to do with him”. Sherin, who still lives with Karren, said of her husband’s sentence: “It wasn’t long enough.”
