FA PUT ON UNITED FRONT FOR 2026

FA CHIEFS played the long game in their support for USA, Canada and Mexico winning the right to host the 2026 World Cup.

They have backed the “United” bid (above, with FIFA president Gianni Infantino) in the hope their support will be returned for England’s bid to be the 2030 host nation.

The FA said: “We cast our vote for the United bid as we believe the independent technical assessment made its advantages very clear. We are confident they will put on a fantastic event in 2026.”
