Lions are in Dier need

JORDAN HENDERSON insists there will be no hard feelings with Tottenham’s Eric Dier – even though one of them looks set to miss out.

England boss Gareth Southgate has warned he only wants to play with one defensive midfielder and Liverpool’s Henderson is favourite for the nod.

Henderson said: “We get on well. He’s a great lad, he’s a fantastic player.

“It’s not just me and him fighting for places, it’s the whole team.

“Everybody wants to play, of course. But it is about the 23 at the end of the day and if you’re going to progress in the tournament you need everyone.”
