Boris at helm of ‘Ministry of Offence’, bullying poll shows
THE Foreign Office under Boris Johnson has the worst levels of discrimination, bullying and harassment of any government department.
Nearly one in six civil servants there had experienced sexism, racism and other discrimination in the past year.
An internal staff survey revealed more than one in eight had suffered bullying or harassment.
The figures have risen since Mr Johnson replaced Philip Hammond. Nearly half reported the behaviour but only one in five felt it had been resolved. Past offensive remarks made by Mr Johnson include describing Hillary Clinton as a “sadistic nurse” and President Barack Obama as “part Kenyan” with an “ancestral dislike” of the UK. Labour MP Stephanie Peacock called him a “joke” who would rather run the “Ministry of Offence”. The FCO said it had “zero tolerance” of discrimination.
