‘Lions can write final chapter’

MARCUS RASHFORD insists England have got a winning mentality which can carry them all the way to the World Cup final.

The Manchester United star outlined the growing belief within Gareth Southgate’s young squad and says they are fearless despite their lack of experience.

England beat Tunisia in their Group G opener – thanks to Harry Kane’s lastgasp winner (above) – and Rashford said: “We have to have that mentality, otherwise you are not going to get there, to get to the final or win the trophy.

“It’s important that we keep improving as a team. If we do it as a team, then it’ll be happy days!

“I know we are young and you can say we are inexperienced, but I don’t feel inexperienced going into the tournament.

“We understand what to expect and I feel in this tournament that is definitely needed. We go into the next game with the exact same mindset and the belief in each other as a team.”
