Russians rushin’ too late

RUSSIAN organisers of the World Cup promised FIFA they would be ready for the tournament.

Yet visitors to the magnificent Rostov Arena may be surprised to see two large unfinished buildings close to the stadium.

Both were supposed to be modern hotels for the tournament, but they are fenced off and derelict, with builders running out of time to finish them before the big kick-off.

A giant football-golf park outside the stadium should have been a huge draw too for fans – if it had also been ready.
