LADY BACK FIT AND WELL

-

WESLEY WARD yesterday reported Lady Aurelia to be “perfect” after her flat seventh when the 2-1 favourite for the King’s Stand Stakes.

The filly was soon struggling to keep up with the pace before finishing well beaten.

But the American will consult with jockey Frankie Dettori before committing the filly, successful at the royal meeting in 2016 and 2017, to the Nunthorpe Stakes at York on August 24.

“She came back completely sound,” said Ward. “Beautiful. Perfect.”

Lady Aurelia was beaten a nose by Marsha in last year’s Nunthorpe, and Ward added: “We will sit down with Frankie. It all depends on what Frankie is thinking.”
