Russian media in a spot of hand-WAGs
ENGLAND’S wives and girlfriends came under attack by cruel Russian commentators yesterday after revelations that they were given security guards at the World Cup.
There were jibes at the WAGs after a discussion about their protection on the sports news website championat.com.
One poster said: “And animal trainers are also needed – because bears are walking around our streets.”
Another added: “We should be protected from them – they are so ugly.”
It came as WAG leader Rebekah Vardy, 36, posted an Instagram picture showing her flying home after a 12-day trip to Russia.
LUNCH
Rebekah, who had a private plane to fly to venues, told how the WAGs now stay in touch via WhatsApp. “We can suddenly go out for a lunch,” she told OK! magazine.
Many of the Three Lions fans in Russia defended our girls.
Tim Barrett, 59, from Hitchin, Herts, said: “They are clearly having fun but know how to behave themselves.”
England face Colombia next – and the WAGs face competition from midfielder James Rodriguez’s girlfriend, Helga Lovekaty.
The Dutch model and actress has four million Instagram followers. Radamel Falcao is supported by wife, Lorelei Taron. Goalie David Ospina, who plays for Arsenal, has wife Jessica Sterling with him.
