Deportation mum Destiny can now stay
A MUM who faced being deported and separated from her husband and kids has won a reprieve.
Nigerian Destiny Jukes last month had her Leave to Remain bid blocked – despite her two children having dual citizenship.
But the Home Office relented after a petition calling for her to stay.
Husband Steve Jukes, 52, said: “We are so relieved and overwhelmed by the decision and by all the support we have received.
“Over 7,000 people have signed our petition.”
Destiny, 37, arrived on a visitor’s visa and married Steve in September. The couple, of Bristol, have a daughter, Kobi, three, and son Obi, eight months.
Steve said the Home Office told them on Friday of its decision.
