England’s concern for Broad

KYLE EDMUND is daring to dream of an English Wimbledon and World Cup win double.

ENGLAND are taking no chances over key bowler Stuart Broad – who is set to go for a second scan this week on his sore left ankle.

The 32-year-old paceman (above) complained of pain after a spell for Notts in the County Championship.

Friday’s scan revealed nothing serious but England medics will assess his condition.

Once the swelling subsides, a further scan will be carried out.

A fit Broad faces a heavy workload with five Tests in six weeks against India.

England’s Sam Curran is looking forward to the three T20s that come first.

He was due to be a teammate of India star Virat Kohli’s before a brief stint with Surrey was canned.

Curran, 20, said: “I was expecting a laugh at other county bowlers. Now if I get the opportunity it’ll be my chance to get taken down!”
