Juan hell of a move by Wolves

- BY JAMES NURSEY

WOLVES are plotting a major transfer coup with a move for Juan Quintero.

Boss Nuno Espirito Santo (above), who played for and managed Porto, knows Quintero from his connections at the Portuguese club.

The 25-year-old is a Porto player, for now, but for the past three years has been on loan at Rennes, Independiente Medellin and River Plate.

The attacking midfielder has caught the eye in Russia with one goal and two assists, playing in all three of his country’s matches so far.

He is in line to start against England in tomorrow’s last-16 tie.

Wolves face tough competition for his signature from Real Madrid and Tottenham.

But it is understood agent Jorge Mendes is working behind the scenes to try to get a deal done.

Mendes has close ties to Molineux because Wolves’ owners, Chinese company Fosun International, have a stake in his agency.
