Police widow blasts silence on Westminster terror attack

- BY TOM PETTIFOR Chief Crime Correspondent

THE widow of the police officer murdered in the Westminster terror attack has yet to see reports on the protection he had – 15 months on.

Michelle Palmer, whose husband Keith was one of five killed by Khalid Masood in March 2017, remains clueless about what authorities had done to stop such an attack. She has demanded to know how Masood could enter the parliament grounds so easily. But police and Parliament have yet to give statements ahead of a September inquest. Masood, 52, drove into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before fatally stabbing PC Palmer, 48. He was then shot dead by police. Mrs Palmer’s lawyer Matt Waszak told a pre-inquest hearing at the Old Bailey: “We are disappointed. Mrs Palmer remains in the dark.”
