Fault! Sue raps Boris after he swears on BBC
THE BBC was forced to apologise at the start of Wimbledon yesterday after Boris Becker swore live on air.
The former champion, 50, shouted “you b ****** ” in a jokey exchange with co-pundit Martina Navratilova.
Host Sue Barker was quick to turn to the cameras to say sorry over the prenoon outburst.
And Becker covered his mouth and offered his own apologies.
The three had been talking about how Becker had claimed diplomatic immunity in Central African Republic in a bankruptcy case. When Navratilova joked he would have to “wait in line” at immigration, Becker agreed, roaring: “You b ****** , you have to wait in line now!”
Fans and celebs flocked to SW19 for the start of the tournament in scorching 30C heat – and 22 spectators were treated for heat-related illnesses. On court, rising Brit star Katie Swan, 19, won in straight sets, but Harriet Dart, 21, and Liam Broady, 24, lost.
Top British hopes Kyle Edmund and Johanna Konta play today.
