SHE WANTS A BREAK AFTER I LIED TO HER

A couple of weeks ago, I did something that really hurt my girlfriend’s feelings – I went out with an old flame and didn’t tell her – and now she wants us to take a break while she thinks about what she wants.

She says she’s not sure about being in a relationship with me any more after I lied to her. I know I was wrong and, if I’m honest, I was curious to see my ex again, although we didn’t sleep together.

I cheated on my ex, which is why we broke up, and my girlfriend knows about that, but I want the chance to prove to her that I can change. I’m worried that if we have a break, she’ll decide it’s over.

What should I do?
