£50k a year to help turn Queen green
THE Queen is looking for a £50,000-a-year manager to cut her carbon footprint across the royal estates.
Based at Buckingham Palace, the job involves cutting waste and ensuring sustainable construction – as well as managing an energy-efficiency drive.
An advert for the post says the Royal Household is “working hard across our locations to reduce its impact on the environment, using everything from energy efficient LED lighting to hydro-electricity plants to ensure efficient running of its sites”.
The energy and environment manager role also comes with an energysaving six weeks’ holiday.
