THERESA May gave Donald Trump an illustrated family tree showing his Scottish heritage.

Drawn up by the Foreign Office, it traces his family back through mum Mary Anne Macleod, born in 1912 on Lewis, to great-great-great-grandad Kenneth Macleod, born near Stornoway in 1776.

Wife Melania was given a bespoke fragrance by the Queen’s perfumer J Floris, with notes of cherry blossom, rose heart and bergamot.

Trump’s gifts to Mrs May were not revealed yesterday.
