Average vet’s claim is £757

VET’S bills for our pets soared to £775million last year, a report says.

The value of insurance claims for dogs and cats rose 10% from 2016 to 2017.

And the average claim is now £757, said Direct Line Pet Insurance.

Sarah Page-Jones, chief vet, said: “As time goes on, it’s possible to manage a wider range of conditions, so average vet bills rise.”
