Diver Saman Kunan was putting oxygen tanks along the route out of the cave when he died.

He was honoured on Saturday with a state funeral. The team, trapped for 18 days, are in a Chiang Rai hospital.

The pictures were released by the Thai Health Ministry which said: “All cried and expressed condolences by writing on a drawing of Lt Cdr Saman and observed one minute of silence for him.”
