NATIONAL HONOUR State funeral for Saman THANKS Boys write messages THE 12 boys and their football coach rescued from a cave in Thailand pay a tearful tribute to the ex-Navy Seal who died in the daring rescue mission.

Diver Saman Kunan was putting oxygen tanks along the route out of the cave when he died.

He was honoured on Saturday with a state funeral. The team, trapped for 18 days, are in a Chiang Rai hospital.

The pictures were released by the Thai Health Ministry which said: “All cried and expressed condolence­s by writing on a drawing of Lt Cdr Saman and observed one minute of silence for him.”
