OPPORTUNITY KNOX

- BY NEIL McLEMAN

RUSSELL KNOX is forecasting “craziness” as he tees up with his childhood hero Tiger Woods for the first time tomorrow. The Scot (left) earned the prime draw with the former world No.1 and Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama after winning the Irish Open. And the world No.49 said: “I watched him win the Masters in ‘97 when I was about 12. He is the reason why I played golf probably.

“I had a poster of him on my wall. He changed the game for everyone, including me. I do care how I play but this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play with your hero. I’m just floating on air.

“Play great or play awful, I just have to enjoy it. A dream come true. I’m expecting craziness, it will be fun.”
