Be caring of wildlife

-

I’m hoping readers will kindly give a thought to wildlife in this unusual dry spell by putting out bowls of fresh water.

We have an abundance of wonderful wildlife around our country, all of which need water, but in many areas it hasn’t rained for weeks.

Additionally, building a reasonable sized pond would help animals survive during this and future hot spells.

Is this something local businesses would consider sponsoring in community spaces? John and Coral Kibbles Worthing, West Sussex

It was great to see an England side in the semifinal of the World Cup, but aren’t we getting a little bit carried away?

When you look at our results, you see we played seven games, won three, lost three and drew one, which we finally won on penalties.

Two of the wins were against group no-hopers and the win against Sweden was a given.

These are not the results of a great team. Len Goodwin, Doncaster
