Manchester bomb girl’s rose tribute

- BY STEPHEN WHITE

A PINK rose called “Saffie” has been created in memory of Manchester Arena’s youngest victim.

And the flower will be sold around the world to raise money for charity.

Saffie Rose Roussos, eight, was one of 22 killed in the bombing last May.

After £11,000 in donations, the Royal Horticultural Society has unveiled the bloom at the Tatton Flower Show in Cheshire.

Dad Andrew said: “Saffie was nicknamed Rose – we used to call her Rosebud.”

Creator Keith Jones said: “It’s so special because it’s permanent.” The flower is available for £19.50 online at www.jonestherose.co.uk

Saffie, of Leyland, Lancashire, was at the concert with mum Lisa and sister Ashley, who were injured. The family has now moved.
