999 staff in new walkout

PARAMEDICS are to strike for the fourth time in recent weeks in a 13-yearold dispute over pay.

GMB union members at North West Ambulance Service will walk out for 12 hours on Saturday.

Union official Mike Buoey said: “Our members are desperate to get this situation resolved.”

Lisa Ward, interim director of organisational development for NWAS, said: “The trust is extremely disappointed with this day of action.”
