AWARD Shabnam, right Outstanding Contribution: Detective Chief Inspector Shabnam Chaudhri, from the Metropolitan Police, won the award in recognition of her work engaging with diverse communities across London.

She especially worked with women to empower them to stand up against hate crime, domestic abuse, and gangs.

Shabnam grew up in Newham, East London, where she has carried out much of her gang-based work.
