His humour and mesmerising attention to detail will be familiar to those who saw his 2009 Oscar-nominated take on Roald Dahl’s children’s classic Fantastic Mr Fox.

Twenty years into the future in a totalitarian Japan, a 12-year-old attempts to rescue his pet from a polluted ghetto called Trash Island, and teams up with a stray dog called Chief to try to find him. Bryan Cranston, Bill Murray and Jeff Goldblum provide the voices.
