COTTAGERS TOON IN TO MITROVIC

FULHAM are close to sealing the £20million capture of Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. Slavisa Jokanovic’s long-running pursuit of Mitrovic (below) is on the verge of completion after the Toon finally relented in chasing a higher offer. With the Magpies needing to raise funds to pay for their own signings, Mitrovic has now been given the green light to move on. The Serbia star, who scored 12 goals on loan last season to help Fulham win promotion, has already agreed personal terms. His arrival will follow the £30m double deal for Nice duo Jean Michael Seri and Maxime Le Marchand.
