FOXES KOP WARD FOR NO.1 FIGHT
LEICESTER have snapped up Danny Ward from Liverpool on a four-year deal. Welsh keeper Ward (below) is City’s fourth summer signing after Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans and James Maddison. He joins fellow keepers Kasper Schmeichel and Eldin Jakupovic in Claude Puel’s squad at the 2016 Premier League champions. Liverpool have sold Ward after the record-breaking arrival of Roma’s Alisson for £67million, leaving him fourth choice behind Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet. Ward said: “I’ve come here to develop my all-round game and hopefully help deliver some more success.”
