Toffees unwrap £22m bid for Digne

EVERTON have made a bid of just over £22million for Barcelona’s Lucas Digne.

Toffees boss Marco Silva feels Digne (above) could be Leighton Baines’ longterm successor at left-back.

He is known to be unsettled at the Nou Camp after his lack of game time last season cost him a place in France’s victorious World Cup squad.

The 25-year-old played in the qualifiers but was dropped for Russia.
