Meryl’s joy at finding she is a ninth cousin of Abba movie co-star Lily
HOLLYWOOD legend Meryl Streep says it is “absolutely wonderful” to find she is a cousin of Mamma Mia! co-star Lily James.
Bosses who cast Lily as the younger version of Meryl’s character Donna in the hit sequel had no idea of the link. But after we revealed they were family, Meryl, 69, admitted: “I love it. Absolutely wonderful news to hear I am in any way related to this delightful person.”
The ninth cousins, three times removed, are descended from the two sons of Henry Howland, who died in Cambridgeshire in RING RINGER Lily shares look 1634. Revealing she and former Downton Abbey actress Lily, 29, shared clothes on set, Meryl said: “What a kick to find we share jeans AND genes.” Mamma Mia!
