Twins turn 80 3 days apart

A SET of twins born three days apart celebrate their 80th birthdays this week.

Joe Wilkinson was born on July 27, 1938, three days after his sister Beryl.

Their mum Georgina Wilkinson, then 29, had no idea she was having twins.

Her husband Cyril went home to celebrate after Beryl’s birth, before Georgina went into labour a second time the next day.

Joe lives in Leeds while Beryl is in Canada.

Joe said: “We call every week and are very close.”
