Pepperell fired by Eddie brew
EDDIE PEPPERELL credited his superb final round to getting drunk the night before.
English ace Pepperell (below) hit the bottle in frustration after his third round 71.
But he shook off any ill-effects from the booze to go out and set the early clubhouse lead on five under par.
He carded a brilliant fourunder 67, which included five birdies and a single bogey on the par-three eighth.
Pepperell said: “I was a little more hungover than I would like. I had too much to drink last night.
“I got to bed about 11.30, it wasn’t too bad. I didn’t think I had that much but I am a lightweight.”
